What we charge

Two ways to work with us. Ad-hoc, billed by the hour, or a monthly contract scoped to your environment.

Ad-hoc

R950/ hour, from

You call, we do the work, we invoice for the time. Nothing to sign and no notice period. Plenty of clients use us this way for years.

  • Remote or on site, billed by the hour
  • One hour minimum, then 15-minute blocks
  • Weekdays, 07:00 to 18:00
  • Quoted upfront if the job looks big
  • Hardware at cost, no markup
  • No monitoring, no after-hours line
  • Contract clients are attended to first

Managed contract

Most clients

R2 500/ month, from

Scoped to your environment and what you need covered. We’ll quote before anything starts.

  • Everything in ad-hoc, attended to first
  • 24/7 emergency line
  • Monitoring on servers, machines and links
  • Patching, licence tracking, tested backups
  • A documented environment that stays with you
  • One calendar month notice, no long lock-in

How it compares

Around two and a half hours of ad-hoc work costs about the same as a month on contract, and the contract adds monitoring, an after-hours line and a documented environment.

It suits us as well. Planned work is easier to run than emergencies.

One ad-hoc callout, roughly 3 hours R2 850
A month on contract, from R2 500

Illustrative. Your quote depends on your environment and what you need covered.

How the billing actually works

The questions that usually come up on the first call.

What about hardware?

Passed through at cost. We charge for specifying, sourcing and installing it, not for the hardware.

Do you bill in minimum blocks?

One hour minimum, then 15-minute blocks. A 70-minute job bills as an hour and a quarter.

Is travel charged?

No. No callout fee and no kilometre charge in Pretoria or Centurion. Further out, we’ll agree it with you beforehand.

What if the job runs over?

If we quote and we’re wrong, that’s on us. If the scope changes, you’ll hear about it before we carry on.

What’s the notice period?

One calendar month. You leave with your documentation and your passwords.

What isn’t included in the contract?

Projects. A new office, a cabling job, a server replacement or a migration is quoted separately, at a contract rate rather than the ad-hoc one.

R0

markup on hardware, either way

Ad-hoc or contract, hardware goes through at cost. We charge for the work, so there’s no incentive to specify more than you need.

Tell us what you’re running and what you need covered, and we’ll come back with a number.
